Harry Potter Movie Release Party
This past Saturday, the Children and Teen departments hosted a Harry Potter Movie Release party to celebrate this week's release of J.K. Rowling's 'Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them'. The kids and teens participated in a Sorting Hat quiz, Harry Potter trivia, and some awesome crafts! They made wands, house pins and felt ties, perler bead house crests, broomsticks, and bookmarks. We were lucky to be joined by the Boston University Quidditch team who spent a couple of hours teaching the kids the basics of the game!

Brigadeiro
On Saturday, March 19th Ms. Katia and a group of child patrons of the library made Brigadeiro, the common Brazilian delicacy that was created in 1940. It is common throughout the entire country, as well as in Portugal, and is present in practically all the major Brazilian celebrations. The brigadeiro is made from condensed milk, powdered chocolate, butter and chocolate sprinkles to cover the outside layer. Yummy!
